To promote responsible ownership and prevent misuse, the TASER® C2 will function only after the owner completes a background check. Purchasers must be 18 years or older. TASER® C2 cartridges have a unique serial number and are equipped with Anti-felon Identification tags, allowing law enforcement to track a potential misuse. These AFID
tags are dispersed upon deployment of the weapon.

TASER® energy weapon's are not considered firearms they're legal to carry in most states without permits (including California). Restricted from citizen use in MA, RI, NY, NJ, WI, MI, HI and certain cities and counties.
